“What is true happiness or free from suffering (moksh)?

Happiness is not an absence of disappointments, uncertainty or losses. It is about being able to stay calm, while still feeling grateful, in the face of challenges. Nothing and no one has the power to make us feel sad, bad, fearful or angry, without our permission. It’s we who allow outside circumstances to affect our inner peace.
The power is in our hands. If we are aware of our own deep troubling emotions, only then, we can catch them before they overtake our conscious mind. Negative emotions impair our ability to reason and evaluate the situation.

Our deep troubling emotions were programmed while we were growing up. Meditation and self awareness can help us understand ourselves better, ultimately giving us better control over those overwhelming waves of emotions that seem to engulf us every time something veers off the tracks.”
